The roots of Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) trace back to 1844, when Johann Ludwig Krapf, a Church Missionary Society (CMS) missionary, arrived in Kenya. This marked the birth of Anglican presence in Kenya, establishing a legacy that would later shape churches like St. Andrews Zimmerman. The broader Anglican fraternity has since grown into a significant religious and social institution in Kenya.
ACK St. Andrews Church, Zimmerman was founded in 1982, serving as a parish within the Diocese of Nairobi.
